Very thought-provoking. The author shares near-death experiences form his own life, the medical interventions that saved his life, and the physics of sustaining life. The physics portion is a bit "in the weeds", but the book is well-written and will take you places you hadn't considered.

I really like this book because it teaches kids that sometimes things look scarier than they really are. My son really loves this book this is probably the 5th or 6th time we have read it.
